The beautiful, luxurious, classy and understated Mercedes Benz ML320 CDI SUV. Or is it? It is quite a romantic name for a people mover with all wheel drive. What does that even mean? Anyway, what’s so disturbing to me is the size of that GARGANTIUN logo on the face of the car. I love the thought of design that’s understated. Designing in a way that it’s clear where the design came from. To me that can be even more powerful than a huge Shaq sized logo.
A Miata Functional? Lately I have been receiving much criticism for driving such a “Barby car”. But even though it doesn’t look like a Manly car it’s very fun to drive, the seat and drivers position fits like a glove, and the car feels like an extension of my body. Yesterday, I realized it’s utility as well! Just look at me going to the local Nursery to pick up 2 healthy trees! Try that in your Accord, or Jetta!! It’s all about the user experience. It might look silly and tiny but I am very endeared to it. For me its value is proven to me each time I use it, much like good design. So, my car might be keeping me from being, “Cool” but I have a huge smile on my face every time I drive home. BTW inside the car are 2 trees, 4 small plants, 1 bag of potting soil, and 2 large gym bags.
