Yesterday Google Chrome was the 10th most used browser on lds.org, today (so far) it is 7th. Mind you that is only a few hundred visitors, but still fairly impressive for a < 24 hr old browser.

For no prize what-so-ever… name the other 6 browsers that are beating it… in order please =)

You guys on North Temple are probably the ones to blame for those numbers.

Foster almost had it. Except Hal 9000 was actually updated to Hal 9000.1 a while back due to minor bug that was found.

I’ll post a more detailed browser breakdown in a future post (waiting for more stats for September) but here is the ranking I referred to:

  1. IE 7
  2. IE 6
  3. FF 3
  4. FF 2.0.0.1
  5. Saf 3.1.2
  6. Microsoft MSN Explorer 9 (no one saw that coming)
  7. Google Chrome Beta

So it looks like Ryan was the closest.

Everyone mentioned Opera, which suprisingly is listed at #45. I’ve often thought that something must be wrong with that number, but on the other hand you’d think that the mighty Omniture would be fairly good at tracking these things.

Thanks for the guesses, and as I said I’ll post some more detailed info when September’s numbers are a little more stable.
